After talking about it for like ages, I have finally taken the plunge. Went to Vincar today and put down the deposit for a 1.5l Honda Fit. It should come in 2 weeks or so, and my days of public transport are hence about over.
It's been like 3 weeks since my last update. Went for an Aur weekend diving trip in end Sep as Lindi wanted to take her OWD. Qihui went as well and she was persuaded to take her AOWD. After this trip, will have additional dive kakis. The trip itself was alright. Spent most of my time looking for nudis as usual and added a couple of new species to the list I keep on FB.
After that was my very expensive week. On Tues, had lunch at Brotzeit with colleagues for about $20, then had dinner with Jean at this lousy place at Funan, which set me back almost $40. Then played MJ with Kelvin and Shen. On the plus side, I won at MJ that night. The next day was Hari Raya and we had lunch at Royal China with LBT and Su Chin, followed by MJ. Won at MJ again and spent another $40 at lunch. Dinner was at Gyu Kaku for the same amount, the food was good though. Would have preferred more beef but Liping doesn't eat beef. Thurs had working dinner, so it was free. Friday was dinner/beer with the diving people at Brotzeit, spent $50 then. The week ended off with a $35 lunch at Royal China with the ICAAS. Don't think I've spent so much on food in a while.
Then the past week was more boring. Only happening thing was dinner on Friday night with Theng Kuan to celebrate his engagement. Ate at this Jap place in Central with Black Pig. Had a good lunch with the colleagues at Tavern too, $17 nett for set lunch, which is quite a good deal.
