I'm officially an NDP Project Officer. Went to 3SIB and didn't have anything to do for the first two days, so just slacked around the office. The black bar does come with priviledges, the chief clerk doesn't touch me and my boss pretty much lets me do as I please. Asked for permission to go SAFTI to return my #2 and he just said no problem. Anyway, finally had some work arrowed in my direction on Thursday and was pretty happy to finally stop bumming around. The only problem is that S2 told me to take my time with it and I was. Then on Friday afternoon, S1 said he wanted to see it Monday afternoon. And it isn't complete yet!!! Oh wellz, shall just mug through it tomorrow morning.
Tried to get BT and Eesin out for dinner, but those people are seriously busy. Guess my turn will come nearer the carnival. Had a BBQ at Dean's house last night, it was quite nice to meet up with all the others from the platoon again. Just one week plus apart and there are already so many stories to share. In fact, there were already people on duty in camp. Hope I don't screw up when it's my turn to be on duty. Just as there are priviledges that come with the bar, there are also added responsibilites.
Read something interesting in today's newspaper, PSC scholar under investigation by PSC for having racist remarks in blog. Not really an accurate description of the headline but concise enough. Seems that being scholars, every action is under scrutiny, even our online actions are not exempt. But a blog is for personal expression, does that mean one has to practise self-censorship at all times. Luckily for me, there's nothing incriminating on my blog. At least I think so.
