Rantings and Thoughts

Bloggers have been in the news recently, with two getting jailed for seditious blogging. This has resulted in a some blogs being shut down, I especially lament the shutting down a diary of a chinese high boy. That was quite hilarious site but it recieved complaints and the author decided to shut it down, guess some people do not understand satire. Perhaps ALL blogs should have a disclaimer on the front page akin to what www.talkingcock.com has. Saying that there is strong language and that the site's purpose is humourous and purely satirical. Plus an added clause to indemnify the site from whatever opinions the reader has from it.

CTC so far has been pretty fun, my syndicate seems to be quite on the ball, and it's turning into a well-connected place with all the electronics in it. Think we're the only group to present our CAOS on powerpoint with my group using 60 plus slides. Alan said that some of the CPTs on course were very pretentious, but I beg to differ. They mugged for the test because they aim to be TTP. So long as they are upfront with their aims and don't be hypocrites, I'm fine with it. After all, class discussions are graded as well, so it comes as no suprise they want to make themselves known to the DS. But sometimes speaking just for the sake of speaking makes them look unintellectual, though I sometimes am guilty of it as well.
