Shopping

I recently found out how expensive working can be. Over the past week, spent a bomb on new work clothes and other things I deem necessary for work. But I must admit, I did not pay for most of my spendings. Think the damage for the whole week is about $590, and if I were to add the damage from before that, it would be about $100 more. On the bright side, so far I have not recycled any of my shirts to wear to work yet. Off hand I can think of at least 2 shirts I have not worn to work.

Anyway more on the damage done, before starting work, went shopping and bought 2 shirts from Raoul. They were on sale and I think it was $100 for two shirts, at least Sister paid for those 2 shirts. After getting the shirts, went to tailor some work pants. Collected the pants only this week and sister kindly paid for them as well, that's another $240. That would have been the end of it except that I went to Robinsons on Friday night. Spent about $220 there on 1 shirt, 2 pants, 1 belt, socks and shoes, am not too sure whether mother or sister is paying for my Robinsons spree, but the bottom line is that I'm not paying. The last purchase this week was some stationary from Muji. I got myself an aluminium notepad and name card holder. Think they look much better than digging around in pockets for namecards or carrying stacks of paper around for writing notes down.

There are still a couple of things I have not bought yet, my shopping list still has a few things on them, like a new watch, handphone and bag. Unfortunately those are the expensive stuff, though father has promised to look into getting the handphone for me. Think the rest will have to wait till after I get my first paycheck next month.

On the working note, still quite free at work, think the usual last minute rush to complete things will happen again. So far the projects given to me do not have a deadline attached, hence I'm not really working on them. But I can't be blamed for it, I have not yet recieved the project specifications yet...
