I finally booked my IPPT for end September. Have been receiving way too many reminder smses from mindef reminding me that I have until 13th Nov to clear my IPPT. To that end, have done a bit more exercise since last Saturday than I have in a long while. Played 2 hrs of tennis with John on Sat, then 2 hrs with Mark on Sun. Had tennis again with my mum on Tues and ran 5km earlier today. My only real worry for the IPPT is the 2.4km run I suppose, haven't ran a 2.4 for more than a year. Should find a track somewhere to time myself.
Finally played mj with the IC people today and I won all of $8. Considering that I was playing 10c, 20c, it's quite a respectable amount. Was initially down but a ping hu and man tai at the end saved the day. Almost had a 13 unique wonders as well, got 11 of the 13 cards and 3 pairs before I decided to stop being greedy. Wonder when our next game will be. Our resident gambler is flying off to Boston soon and I suppose the mj sessions will dry up just like the tennis sessions.
