Last week was quite a hectic week for myself. Met up with many different groups of friends. Monday was innocent enough, spent the day at home as usual. Then on Tuesday, met Mark for Wanted. The show was entertaining enough, didn't have much of a plot, but the special effects and action sequences made up for it.
Wednesday was dinner with Jon Lam and LBT. It was quite last minute as I was only informed on Tuesday night itself, but it was good as that was the only night I was free. So met the two of them for dinner at Coffee Club, Raffles City. Actually, met BT first and chatted with him about stuff, mainly how he wanted to downgrade, for the first hour until Jon came. He was late for over and hour, but at least he paid for dinner. Anyway, he's back and working as a financial planner/consultant. Anybody interested can ask BT for his contact, shan't avail myself to the deal he offered to us. :P
Thursday was tennis with the IC people. Played with Trysha, Qiqi and Fenghuai at CSC. Been two weeks since I last played and even longer for the others. Had quite a bit of fun, lost three balls though. After tennis, we met Jeftor for his farewell dinner as he would be flying off for 6 months to an undiscolosed location for work.
Friday was the long awaited C coy PC gathering. The turnout was quite good, 6 of the 8 officers showed up, but as usual, it never pays to be on time. Was actually quite bored at work, hence left at 5:30pm and went home for a quick nap. Reached Bishan MRT on time at 7:30pm and the last guy, Marcus Wong, only showed up at 8:30pm. Just as well we wanted to eat at Thai Express and they only gave us our seats at 8:30 when he arrived. Must say he gave us all a shock when he showed up with his other half. Think his other half is like 8 yrs younger than him. Was supposed to play board games after dinner but the others had made plans and so we just dispersed after dinner. Guess there'll always be a next time, which I'm guessing will be in 6 months.
Then on Sat, went to Queensway to buy a new pair of tennis shoes in the afternoon, and had my JC 10th anniversary class outing at night. It was at Mark's house and the turnout was very good. 18 of 27 classmates showed up and met up with people like Yilin whom I've not seen or spoken to since graduating from HCJC. Geri also brought her son along and he provided some entertainment those with maternal instincts.
Sunday night was MJ with Ken and Jean, played 2 rounds and won $30, was the largest winner. Must say it was quite a lucky night. After MJ met Jiang and Chester for supper at Jalan Kayu. Hadn't seen Chester since OCS I think. But he came late and after a short chat, had to leave as I had to work the next morning.
So that was my events for the past week, unfortunately, the coming week won't be as packed. Think the only group I haven't met are my sec sch friends, but that group is a group that meets ultra irregularly. On a separate note, Nadal won Wimbledon!!! Can support Federer next year liaoz, just didn't want him to be so perfect... :p
