1 week of refresher course

it's been a good week thus far, other than the fact that my legs are aching.... Had a 4k ET run early in the week, had a horrible stitch... the 1st 3km took 17 min whilst the 4th km took 8 min...definately once of my worst runs ever... we joined golf wing for the ET run and after having had lessons with all three of the BEG wings, can conclude that golf is indeed the xiongest wing in OCS rite now. in any case, we're pretty much left to our own devices here in tango... go to the gift shop every so often to buy stuff we're lacking, occassionaly to the cadet mess to surf net as well.

In addition to the ET run, we had sum safety lesson with echo and joined bravo for exercise tenderfoot. But I must say echo seems to be a very nice place to be, they have long weekends so often and the discipline seems quite slack compared to delta eons ago. tt day was also the day we had a screw-up in the timetable, the lesson was supposed to start at 8am, it got pushed back to 9am and echo wing only arrived at 10am....hence we had 1 solid hour of stoning in the cadet mess waiting for them to arrive... Ex tenderfoot with bravo was also an eye-opener, i never knew they could leave their rifles lying around to take photographs with their instructors... as we've all been saying, times have changed... haha... and from wat the other detail said about the bravo cadets, they were resting almost the entire exercise... the other detail went up the hill looking for the checkpoint and when the 1st started up the hill, there was a group of cadets at the foot resting, an hour later, they came down and the cadets were still there.... amazing... dun even noe how to be tactical when resting for so long....sighz.... but tt exercise was good in that we finished at 830 when the exercise cut time was 1030pm... rested at the training shed whilst the instructors had a BBQ...

Other notable lessons included the SAR21 lesson which compressed 8 sessions into an hour, the compass course and the pace course.... noting really notable about these lessons cept for the compass course where we were juz let loose and allowed to walk w/o the instructors at every checkpoint to check tt we're at the correct place....integrity is wat matters....

finally had IPPT on sat, dissapointed with my run, only did 12min flat....though it was my 1st 2.4 run in 4 years, thinking of trying again on wed/thu during the retest, try to aim for a silver at least... after that IPPT, had a leadership session with tango wing comm, he's quite a nice guy, very interactive learning style, pity wun be under him for the remainder of my course.... sighz....

1 more week of refresher course for me to enjoy myself... though there is a SOC session scheduled this week, sighz.... i so hate SOC... there is also a 5km ET run, hope to do better for that this time... hoping so much not to get posted to Golf.... heard from willy wat a sucky place it is....
