I am such a sucker for new toys, just found out today that my dad initially though of buying me a PSP. He came into my room to tell me he wanted to buy it for me and I pointed to the PSP lying on my bed. If only I had waited a little longer, then could have saved $500 of my own money. At least I've had entertainment from it the past 2 weeks or so.
Finally found out how draining staff work can be yesterday. After 1 hectic day in the office, felt so drained, almost never have so much to do but at least it was a productive day. Today was the usual slack day, morning went to Mowbray camp to be witnessing officer and met Chengkang there. Small world, or rather small SAF. In the afternoon, the camp was empty as all the big shots were in division. So nuahed in the office and played pool with Royston. Then as usual, work only comes late in the day, S1 finally came back ard 4:30 and I was kept busy till about 6. BT actually ended work before me today.
Wil's blog has the counterpart to the whiny boys article in the New Paper. It's entitled Little Princesses. I must say overseas life is just as good as NS in inculcating independence, the girls I've met from overseas studying though may be 'qian jing', they can still take care of themselves. But this independence comes at a high monetary cost, either that or a high intellectual base.
