O.I.L.

Today is the first day of the 1 week O.I.L. that was given to us for NDP. Technically, it started after we booked out on Friday night but those are all technicalities. Today was quite a productive day, spent the entire day playing HSG, in between swam 20 laps in the pool, 10 front crawl followed by another 10 alternating between breast stroke and front crawl. Quite a good workout, wanted to run, but by the time my engine was warmed up, it was noon and way too hot for a run.

Had dinner at Modestos, their garlic bread is amazing, and their raw beef salad is just delicious. The pizza was good, but a little too salty for my taste. Had better pizza in Da Mario's in London, but those days are well gone.

The weekend was pretty eventless, stoned at home the whole of Sunday. Saturday was more happening in that I met people. It reminds me of Lit's blog where he says the whole world vascillates around the Marina South area. I disagree, it should be Orchard area. Initially I went to Palais Renaissance to meet Charlie O group for brunch at Marmalade Pantry. Following that, Joel, Chris and I went over to Borders to waste some time. There I met Yongbin, chatted with him for a while, then met Joshua who was meeting Zhenghan there later. So I decided to join up with them instead. After some aimless wandering around Borders, came across Darrel Yeo, so asked him to join us. He was chatting with Yongbin at that time. When Zhenghan reached, I said my farewells to Chris, couldn't find Joel and went off to Lido. Bought a shirt there and upon leaving, chanced upon Jianyun and Lengtuan. At this moment, the number of people I had met in orchard is six. Went over to Peninsula Plaza to shop and I bought 2 Corrinne May CDs. We left Peninsula Plaza and then I met (Chen) Zhenhao with girlfriend.

After that, we went to Wisma to meet up with Lester and Dean. Dean was supporting his brother in some magic display and after the trick screwed up, we all went for 'lunch' (if lunch at 3plus can still be considered lunch). Darrel left then as he felt it was too expensive and Lester had to settle his lost handphone. After lunch, Dean left us to meet other friends and after some liu-danging in Heeren, went to look for BT at Paragon. Finally ended the day with dinner at PS. In the course of 1 Saturday, managed to meet 10 friends whom I didn't have any prior arrangements, Singapore is just too small.

On another note, I played tennis with Royston on Friday and lost 6-0, fun game though, and won BT in pool on sat. Other miscellaneous notes include me setting up my speakers to replace the standard packard bell speakers. At this rate, only the CPU will remain from the package deal I bought 3 years ago.
