Another month on...

I've been wanting to blog for a while now, but just wasn't in the mood. I think work has been quite irritating in the last month or so, but I feel much better today. Guess it had to do with me finishing my policy paper earlier today. Sent it up to my boss for comments and with that done, have cleared a fair bit of my outstanding tasks.

The last few weeks have been quite good. Went to eat at Kazu last week with Jean, YQ, BT, Liping and Eesin. As usual, the foie gras was amazing, but the power tripped three times when we were there and our dinner almost 3 hours. The good part about dinner was that the power trip allowed us to delay our meal long enough for Liping to arrive.

Other than that, played MJ last Sat with the same group as above, but before MJ we had dimsum at East Ocean. Introduced the place to the others and had their liu sha bao. Suprisingly, we didn't have the usual dim sum items such as siew mai and har kao at that session.

Had quite a bit of dim sum these past 2 weeks. Before my East Ocean dim sum, Jean, YQ and myself went to Wah Lok during one of the weekday lunches. I was also there on the Sunday before with the IC people to celebrate Val's birthday. Their cha shao bo luo bao is the best I've ever had. After lunch was some shopping at Raffles City and Doris happily bought a 32" plasma tv. I was and still am contemplating buying a new tv for my room. But the desire aint there yet. We then went to Seasons Reasons for dessert. Must say it's not all that good, had better desserts elsewhere. Their wine pear was dissapointing and we didn't finish it at all.

Looking at this post, I get the impression that all I do is eat out. There is still 1 more meal to document and that would be the dinner with Suan Hui when he came back. Had dinner at Raffles City Sushi Teh followed by desserts at Canele. Had wanted to go Season Reasons but I couldn't find it. The cakes at Canele were exemplary as usual. We were discussing his status should he come back to Sg after his phd. Hopefully he manages to get PR, though he has said he is willing to do NS which will be a good thing.
