Depressing Update, at first...

I had wanted to blog earlier but just wasn't in the mood. In any case, quite a bit happened last week. My uncle passed away on Sun nite at the age of 56 from a heart attack. He was one of the closest uncles on my paternal side and it's quite sad that he's gone from our lives. As my sister said, there is a silver lining to every cloud and his departure has actually made the family closer. My uncle whom I've not seen in years attended the wake and I guess some strained ties were mended over the few days during the wake and funeral.

Monday night and Tuesday night were spent at the wake and Wednesday at Mandai crematorium. Took leave on Wed to attend the cremation and it was certainly an eye-opener. Didn't know there was so much to do at a funeral/cremation.

Anyway, enough of the sad and sombre stuff. Went shopping on Saturday for a u/w strobe for my camera. Wanted to get something cheap and simple, but ended up with something slightly more expensive. With this purchase, will have spent almost $13k on diving stuff. Now just waiting for it to be shipped into Sg. Not getting the fish-eye lens and so many lens holders though.



Had lunch at Lei Garden on Sunday and the food was good, but the service was slow. My aunt won some money from 4-D and she treated the whole family to lunch. And in the evening, went for a short jog. Tried the new park connector and got lost when it turned into Braddell Road. In the end, walked home which was quite a failure. Jogged for 20 min and took another 20 min to walk home. Need to ramp up my running for IPPT on 31 May.
