1st day of work plus Tag-Board

Today was my first official day at work in the Bn. Arrived to see the whole Bn going for a run but just relaxed and looked for S1 to report to him. After that he just told me to report to the Coy line after a few lines which confirmed that I was all set and ready, administratively of course. I had a bunk, a camp pass and had no problems with the current state of my life. So I was packed off to the Coy line. Except of course my 2 bosses were all busy with meetings today and I didn't get to see a single one of them. So slacked the day away, except I was called to be acting CDO to clear the armskote today as the CDO was away on recce. All in all, it was a boring day in camp.

After camp went for japanese food at Kuzu. The Lim family, Yong Family and Koh sisters were there, 8 of us ate $266 worth of food. Good BBQed japanese skewers, was extremely pleased with the foie gras. Tender and so delectable, the scallops were good too.

Yesterday went for job-matching interview at emart. Told them I didn't want to be a front counter staff and would like to sit behind a desk all day writing papers. Service support is also out for me as I lack the neccessary tech know-how. Unless of course I upgrade my skills with more EE stuff or IT stuff. Following the interview, met Yijian to go COMEX. Amazing thing about COMEX is that the booths are arranged in the same positions as last year. Didn't see anything interesting but Yijian wants to buy a new comp, have suggested Dell to him. Dinner was at Kenny Rogers followed by hot chocolate at Pacific Coffee. There we chatted about our times in OCS. Amazing how the stories never get stale no matter how many times they are repeated.

Anyhow, many thanks to Ti-ducky for getting my tag-board to work. Royston was suggesting I get a tag-board some time back and only after much procrastination, I decided to add a tag-board. Sadly, it took many more days before the tag-board came up as I was having some problems with the code being a html idiot....
